Jacksonville Fashion Week kicked off with Fashion Night Out on Wednesday, March 23rd with over 25 boutiques participating to donate a portion of their sale to JFQ charities.
On Thursday the fashion shows began at the beautiful Casa Marina Hotel in Jacksonville Beach hosted by Yoanna House of America’s Next Top Model. Argie Mitra’s collection was inspired by mushrooms and fungi, the pieces were displayed in an array of creams, mochas and one show stopping number in a deep purple crop top and mini skirt. The fabrics were an intricate mix of woven fabrics and shimmering sheers.
Zella Machado swimwear was a retro mix of polka dots, stripes and triangle tops and high waisted bottoms. The overall feel of the collection was cabana chic on the open air runway. The Lile Useche collection was stunning display overall, with two of my favorite looks of the night, a luminous silver disc one shoulder gown and a creamy confection layered tulle gown. Lile Useche won the emerging designer award at Jacksonville Fashion Week. Richard &Bancroft was a festive vibrant collection with inspiration drawn from South of the Border. Chabri’s collection was a beach chic in flowing fabrics making every woman channel her inner goddess. Yuliya Vega Atelier featured metallic bathing suits, separates and day to dinner beachwear in a sophisticated palette.

Jacksonville Bank play held host to Friday’s Fashion show hosted by Fox News 30, Shannon Wilbur. Friday’s show featured Bobby K, a Jacksonville native coming home to debut his first integration of menswear to his line of previous womens wear. The collection had a modern approach mixing sunshine yellows and earth tone greens bringing the dressing of ease to a new level. Rachel Lym’s swimwear collection was vivacious with tropical tones of aqua, purple, and fuchsia. Each separate in the collection would easily interchange with another. Janie G Couture’s collection featured old Hollywood glam with luxurious fabrics adorning each look. Erin Healy’s collection was nostalgic of yesteryear with classic cocktail dresses, chic feather ornamented hair and mysterious eye masks as the ultimate accessory.
